Having had a fantastic experience in Gothia 2024, some of our players and staff were desperate to go again!
Joining The Queue
Eagerly waiting for registrations to open on the 11th of September, we were not prepared for places to become fully booked quite so quickly. After a massive 1911 teams from 72 different nations attending in the summer of 2024, it just goes to show how much players, parents, and coaches from around the world loved this event! Dubbed the “World Youth Cup”, and quite rightly so!
Registration submitted, then being met with a “Thanks! You’re now on the waiting list”, left us feeling uneased. Would we secure our spots? What would we do instead? The panic was soon lifted when we received our confirmation email – the longest few weeks I’ve experienced. Immediate relief as I leant back in my chair… we’re going to Gothia 2025!
Our Hotel
Another great addition to our week of football is the hotel allocated to us. “Good Morning+ Göteborg City” is a highly rated hotel that is in fact also a boat! Docked in an incredible location with views of Göta Älv; it is truly a unique stay! Staff and players will enjoy sleeping on the river in twin rooms, each with its own private bathroom.
Conveniently located near the Gothenburg Central Train Station allowing easy transfer for those travelling from Copenhagen, or those wishing to explore a little more of Sweden while we are there.
A short walk to the Nordstan shopping centre which boasts an array of different stores, entertainment, eateries, and activities!
